Hi, welcome to Explorers. Explorers is a children’s club with an enthusiastic team of people who want to make the time the children spend with us exciting and memorable. We would love you to join us and you can be assured of a very warm welcome.
Who
Explorers is for children between the ages of 4 and 12.
When
It takes place on the second Friday of each month and Sunday mornings. Children can be signed in at Explorers from 6.00pm on Fridays and can join us on Sundays at 10:30am.
Where
Explorers takes place at Somersham Baptist Church which is on the high street.
What happens at Explorers…?
Our main focus is to have fun and to make new friends.
We give the children the opportunity to see how the Bible relates to them today. To see what God has to say about issues they face in everyday life.
We encourage them to be open and honest with us in the hope that we can help them to cope with problems that they might face in the world around them and look at how they might deal with them. During our Friday and Sunday sessions they have the opportunity to take part in lively games and quizzes and enjoy art and craft activities.
We often use puppets and drama to tell stories and in addition to this we provide multimedia that is relevant to them and helps to better understand the topic that we are focusing on. This could include video clips, music and pictures.
As well as Explorers events we already run there will be social events during the year to which the children are encouraged to invite their friends.
